About Coachmen

With a proud history of quality and value which customers have come to rust, Coachmen RV products continue to be popular among die-hard travelers.

On US roads and highways since 1964, the first of Coachmen's RV products were produced in a modest, 5,000 square foot plant in downtown Middlebury, Ind. The company was founded by three brothers: Tom, Keith and Claude Corson.

During its first year of production, the company produced 12 travel trailers, a single truck camper and 80 truck caps. Since then, more than 600,000 Coachmen RVs have been manufactured.

In December of 2008, Coachmen RV became a member of the Forest River Inc.

Today, Coachmen's products are some of the hottest on the market. The company has a clear and simple focus - providing great products at a great price for a great value.

According to a company statement on Coachmen's website, "Our product advantages are significant, our quality is leading, our value is unparalleled and the Coachmen brand remains one of the most recognized brands throughout the RV industry!"

Among some of the great Coachmen brands we carry include the Encounter, Mirada, Concord, Freelander, Leprechaun, Prism and more.

With its headquarters still in Middlebury, Ind., Coachmen continues to manufacture Class A motorhomes, Class C motorhomes, fifth wheels and travel trailers. A plant in Centerville, Mi., also produces camping trailers.
