Heartland RVs
It was in March of 2010 when Heartland RVs produced its 12,000th RV off its Bighorn assembly line.
Founded in December of 2003 by a consortium of RV industry veterans, the company began production in March, 2004, with a fifth wheel under the Landmark brand which would later be unveiled that same year at the Louisville Show.
Led by Brian Brady, formerly President and CEO of Damon Corp, Heartland's founding partners also included Tim Hoffman, VP of Sales; Douglas Lantz, VP Administration; John Rhymer, VP of Engineering; Scott Tuttle, VP of Marketing and Dealer Services.
Heartland RVs currently produces around 20,000 units a year and is the third largest fifth wheel manufacturer and fifth largest travel trailer manufacturer in the United States. The company's operations include 1100 employees and 11 facilities which deal with customer service, subassembly and full unit manufacturing.
Today, the company strives to deliver a product customers want. Through feedback via shows, phone calls, plant tours, e-mails, owners' forum, rallies, letters and more; Heartland RVs is able to maintain a close connection with its consumer base.
Every week, information is provided to the company's management team who discuss opportunities on how to not only improve now, but later as well.
Heartland continues to innovate the industry. They recently patented the 88 degree front cap turn radius and quickly it became and industry leading improvement to Fifth Wheels. This allowed Heartland to achieve sharper turns with a smaller fifth wheel hitch while the competition must extend the hitch pin to achieve the same results.
The 88 Degree turning radius has been implemented on a veriety of Heartland Fifth Wheels including the Sundance, Cyclone Toy Hauler, Big Country, Bighorn and many more!
